Dance Theatre Seattle/Bill Evans Dance Company
In 1976 noted dancer, choreographer, and educator Bill Evans moved to Seattle, opening Dance Theatre Seattle, the largest and most influential school of contemporary dance in the Pacific Northwest at that time, and performing with his Bill Evans Dance Company. Dance Theatre Seattle closed in 1983, leaving a lasting influence on contemporary dance in the region.
