College and Departmental Award Recipients:

College and Departmental Award recipients receive an invitation to the Award ceremony and acknowledgement of awards received in early May.  At the ceremony, College and Departmental Award recipients will be presented with a personalized medal in acknowledgment of their achievements.  This medal may be worn proudly at graduation.

Please help us make the Student Awards Ceremony a memorable event for everyone by following this timeline:

May 18

Send us your RSVP!  We need to know whether or not you are able to attend the ceremony, but we'd also like to have an idea of how many friends and family members you expect to come.  We should have plenty of space for your friends and family in Pigott Auditorium, but it is helpful for us to know how many people will attend when we place our catering order for the reception.

May 14 - May 23

Get your picture taken!  We will include a photo along with a brief bio of each of our department and college level award recipients in the Awards Ceremony Program - moms and dads love these! - so don't forget to drop by our 'photo corner' in the Dean's Office to take a quick headshot during one of the following times:

Wednesday, May 14th 9:00-11:00am or 4:30-6:00pm

Tuesday, May 15th 11:00am-1:00pm

Wednesday, May 16th 1:30-4:30pm

Thursday, May 17th 10:00am-1:30pm

Friday, May 18th 10:00am-12:00pm

Monday, May 21st 1:00-3:00pm

Tuesday, May 22nd 11:00am-2:00pm

Wednesday, May 23 8:30-10:30am

Friday, June 15th

3:30 - 3:45 Award Recipient Check-in
Award recipients please sit in the front rows of Pigott Auditorium to ensure smooth transition to and from the stage when your name is called. (Recommended Attire: Business Casual to Semi-Formal.)

4:00 - 5:00 Arts and Sciences Award Ceremony

5:00-6:00 Reception in the Pigott Atrium with light refreshments.

 

 

 

 

 

Departmental Honors Recipients

Departmental Honors recipients are asked to stand in acknowledgement of their fine achievements during the Awards Ceremony. Student names and project titles are featured in the Awards Ceremony Program. Your department will provide our office with your project title for acknowledgment in the Awards Ceremony Program. 

May 18

The graduating seniors serving on the Arts & Sciences’ Student Executive Council are presented with medals in acknowledgement of their service at the Awards Ceremony. Students names and roles appear in the Award Ceremony Program.  Please help us make the Student Awards Ceremony a memorable event for everyone by following this timeline:

Don't forget to sign the SEC book!  It's become a tradition for all graduating members of the Student Executive Council to sign the book acknowledging their service to the College.  If you haven't had a chance to sign the book your last meeting, please drop by the Dean's Office to do so!

Pick-up your medal! If you are unable to receive your SEC graduation medal at the Awards Ceremony, it will be available for pick-up at the Dean's Office front desk!
