William (Bill) Loewen, PhD, MSW is an Associate Teaching Professor at Seattle University. Bill received his MSW from the University of Washington in planning and administration, and his PhD in social welfare from the University of Pennsylvania. Bill has 25 years of work experience in macro social work (community organizing, program planning and program administration), 9 years in organizational consulting, and 14 years in teaching macro social work. Bill is trained in the Tavistock tradition of group relations and unconscious processes in groups, and a past member of A. K. Rice Institute of Group Relations. Bill has extensive experience in consulting to multi-cultural work groups.
