Jimmy McCarty CV


James "Jimmy" McCarty earned his PhD in Religion, Ethics, and Society from Emory University in 2014. He also has an MA in Ethics from Claremont School of Theology and a BA in Religion from Pepperdine University. In addition to teaching in the Institute for Public Service, Jimmy is the Campus Minister for Social Justice at SU. Jimmy has professional experience in nonprofit organizations, international NGOs, and higher education leadership. He has published peer-reviewed articles in journals of ethics, law, and religion on the intersection of religion and ethics in social justice advocacy, transitional justice, and peacebuilding.
