Ben holds a Ph.D. in religion and society from Marquette University. His research interests are in the field of critical social theory, with an emphasis on social justice especially as it relates to the standpoint of labor for ethical and political theory. His scholarly work draws from a variety of disciplines including political philosophy, economics, theology, anthropology, sociology and history in order to better understand normative sources for the ethical and political formation of working-class consciousness and practice.
