SPIN Girls is a program that works with 8th, 9th and 10th grade female-identifying students to build interest and leadership in STEAM skills through providing mentorship and skill development in STEAM. SPIN Girls is a transformative program that builds youth leadership and provides immersive STEM experiences, all paired with mentorship for girls of color by professionals of color from across King County.

Every Fall, we induct 30 8th grade girls as STEM Learners. In their second year, they ill become STEM Mentors, where they will bring STEM back to their schools and help recruit, plan and mentor the next cohort of STEM Learners. In their third year, as STEM Leaders, the girls help lead the program alongside their adult mentors. We leverage our existing deep network of community and school partners to build up and diversify our efforts.
