Executive Director, Family Advocates

Family Advocates is deeply committed to its vision of ending child abuse and neglect in Idaho. Over the past several years, the number of children and families served by the programs has increased and diversified. The new Executive Director of Family Advocates will join the organization during an inspiring period of growth.

The Executive Director is charged with providing values-based leadership to Family Advocates’ staff, volunteers, donors, community partners, and families; realizing the organization’s vision; and achieving Family Advocates’ goals for continued financial stability and community engagement.

The Executive Director provides financial and administrative oversight, manages and oversees daily operations, and supervises a staff of 18 that includes four direct reports: CASA Program Director, Family Strengthening Director, Director of Sustainability, and Office Manager. The Executive Director also oversees fundraising, marketing, and community relations efforts, and serves as the chief spokesperson representing Family Advocates to constituencies both internal and external. In addition to these duties, the Executive Director leads Family Advocates’ vision-based strategic thinking and planning.

The Executive Director will build, foster, and maintain a balanced organizational culture that combines the richness and relevance of programs with the efficacy of best business practices, fiscal accountability, and institutional impact. The Executive Director is accountable to and works closely with the Board of Directors to forward the mission of Family Advocates and ensure viability of the organization.
