The Seattle Public Library Foundation (SPLF) is an independent 501(c)(3) foundation that supports innovative programs at The Seattle Public Library (SPL) above and beyond what public funding provides. Since 1980, SPLF has raised more than $165 million to help the Library expand its collection, offer programs for people of all ages, and build/revitalize facilities. We are a team of ten professionals that operate out of the beautiful Central Library in the heart of downtown Seattle. Thanks to a strong board and a committed community, SPLF is the largest public library foundation in the US based on assets under management.
SPLF recently expanded its communications program with great results. The Director of Marketing and Campaigns will build on this momentum and lead the organization's marketing efforts around fundraising campaigns, communications strategy, and advocacy. The Director will work closely with the board, staff, and Library to deliver messages to targeted audiences that will inspire appreciation, public funding support, and philanthropic giving to the Library. The position reports to the Deputy Executive Director with supervisory responsibility to support the Communications Manager and Donor Relations Specialist.
