Kelly Thompson, MSW, serves as both an adjunct faculty member in Seattle University’s Social Work Department and as the Director of Research Projects at the University of Washington College of Education‘s School Mental Health Research and Training Center (SMART). In her capacity with SMART, Kelly delivered a training in February to staff at the College Success Foundation (CSF) called "Supporting the Mental Health of Students".

The CSF works with middle school, high school and college students across the state to increase the number of college graduates among underserved and low income communities. CSF provides integrated systems of supports and scholarships needed to prepare and inspire students to graduate from college and succeed in life.

Kelly’s training, delivered to approximately 80 CSF staff members from all arms of the program, focused on understanding student mental health needs and introducing ideas and practices to support students around those needs.

Thank you for all the work you do, Kelly!
