Welsh, Molly.CV

Welsh completed her graduate education at the University of Colorado at Boulder in the Department of Integrative Physiology with an emphasis on skeletal muscle physiology. Her research is in the area of skeletal muscle and connective tissue remodeling in response to a number of exercise paradigms. She is pursuing research that will reveal the key factors that influence skeletal muscle and connective tissue remodeling in humans following exercise. She is also interested in pursuing a number of community wellness research initiatives to promote increased physical activity amongst the workforce in the greater Seattle area.

Outside of her teaching and research activities, Welsh is very passionate about a number of outdoor activities, including freeride mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding, alpine and rock climbing, and sailing. Molly also feels a strong commitment to community service, especially after previously serving as a Firefighter/EMT for 8 years with the Nederland Fire Protection District in her small mountain town above Boulder.
