I am an interdisciplinary ethics scholar.  I currently teach ethics and society, and have previously taught English literature and rhetoric.  As an educator, I use both theoretical and literary texts to explore contemporary moral issues.  Like many other ethical critics, I believe that the study of literature is essential to training professionals in many fields because it develops the moral imagination in a profound way.  I have published in journals including the Journal of Working-Class Studies, College English, Pedagogy, and Interdisciplinary Literary Studies, as well as the popular press.
