Amy Harris is a Ph.D. Candidate in Public Policy and Management at the Evans School, University of Washington, and an Adjunct Faculty of Policy Analysis at the Institute of Public Service, Seattle University.
Amy also holds an MSc in Public Policy Research from the Evans School, an MA in International Policy Studies (focus: International Development), a BA in International Studies (focus: Latin America), and certificates in Development Project Management and Qualitative and Mixed Methods Research. She is a former foreign aid implementation professional with Chemonics International, working in project management, proposal design, local recruitment, and project budget development, among other responsibilities, primarily in Latin America.
Amy's research builds on her work in foreign aid implementation, in particular beneficiary participation in project decision-making and implementation. Her research falls within the fields of federal government contracting, public participation, public sector management, and international development. Amy's teaching focuses on public policy decision-making, management, implementation, analysis, and international development policy and implementation.
