Connie Smith has served as the Chief of U.S. Probation and Pretrial Services in Western Washington since October 2010. Prior to serving as the Chief, she was the Deputy Chief of U.S. Pretrial Services for the Western District of Washington since 2001 and a supervisor at U.S. Probation. She previously served as in officer performing pretrial, presentence, and post-conviction supervision.
Connie Smith managed the successful consolidation of U.S. Probation and Pretrial Services, has served as a trainer for the Federal Judicial Center for over 20 years, and currently serves on the national and Ninth Circuit Space and Security Committee. In addition, she is an executive team member of the Drug Reentry Alternative Model (DREAM) for U.S. District Court in Western Washington. Ms. Smith obtained her undergraduate in Criminal Justice and Masters in Organizational Development from Seattle University.
