Job Title: ACPDA Internal Systems Development Intern

Position Description:

Africatown CD Preservation & Development Association is seeking a bright, resourceful, and highly driven individuals to assist with content strategy, event planning, and project management. Applicant will help to create systems based around operations and logistics of the Africatown Initiative with an entrepreneurial focus. Artistic interests and skills including graphic design a big plus. Applicant will gain a lot of practical experience and make beneficial community connections. 

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist with project management
  • Assist in creating internal systems to steam line productivity
  • Assist in setting up/using automation to create efficiency
  • Attending meetings with community organizations, businesses, and Seattle’s influential people


  • Successful candidates must be highly motivated self-starters able to work independently, multi-task and creatively solve problems
  • Interns should be familiar with online media, have a professional attitude and a willingness to learn and succeed
  • Good communication skills are essential in this position
  • Ability to come up with creative marketing ideas a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Office, and Excel and multi-media software is also desired
