The Visual Arts program offers a studio art experience with a solid background in drawing, design, and color. All majors are required to art history course and upper division studio courses. The program is especially suited to the art student who has diverse interests.

Students benefit from working directly with faculty who are practicing artists with an active exhibition schedule. The department also provides opportunities for students to work with internationally known guest artists and to participate in an extensive exhibition series in three on-campus galleries.
