Current is a student exhibition put on by this year’s graduating students in Seattle University’s Design program. This exhibition was inspired by the idea that as creatives we have to “Design the Current, Inspire the Future.”
While there is always pressure to stay on trend and “current,” the idea is much bigger than that. As a class, working closely, we have come together to help push each other forward as people and as designers, much like a current acts as momentum to help push a body of water forward, grow, and branch out into new networks.
As graduating seniors, we have not only risen to the occasion but have exceeded expectations in creating designs that address the unprecedented challenges we face. Our skills, creativity, and ingenuity come up with solutions that pave the way towards a brighter future. From healthcare to education, transportation to communication, our projects showcase the resilience and adaptability of our generation of designers, and our ability to create impactful change. As we work alongside one another, we learn together, grow together, and make waves together.
We invite you to explore our work, which offers a glimpse into how design can play a vital role in shaping the world we live in, even in the face of adversity. Join us on April 20th, in this inspiring journey and witness the incredible potential of design to make a positive difference in the world.
