“In the College of Arts and Sciences, our passion for understanding the global community influences all we do,” says Sonora Jha, PhD, Associate Dean for Academic Community, College of Arts & Sciences. “We encourage our students to actively engage with diverse cultures around the world through faculty-led programs abroad, language and international studies courses, partnerships around the globe, service learning, student and faculty exchanges, internships, Xavier Global House, and most recently, the Global Awareness Program. Arts and Sciences has led the university in its effort to develop an international focus.”

Join us on Wednesday, May 2 in the Kinsey Gallery for our annual awards and exhibit opening. The evening begin with a reception at 5 p.m. and the awards presentation begins at 6 p.m. Light snacks and beverages will be served and the gallery will be open for viewing the winning photographs.

The 10th Annual Imagining the World: Study Abroad and International Photography Competition highlights the College of Arts and Sciences’ participation in the global community. Through this contest for students that study abroad and for international students on our campus, our students capture more than a moment in their experience–they share with us a very personal window into the world. Indulge in the beautiful photos, experience the wonderful world we live in, and celebrate the myriad international education opportunities in which students across Seattle University engage.
