  • Brian Flett Receives Community Impact Award

    Brian Flett, MPA ’04, has been named the 2011 recipient of the Community Impact Award from the Institute of Public Service. The award recognizes his long-standing commitment and service to people in distress. Professor Janelle Wong, Executive Director of the Institute of Public Service in the College of Arts and Sciences, will present the award on September 20.

    “Brian has been tireless in his efforts to help children, youth, and families in need, many who were homeless or facing HIV/AIDs,” Wong said. “He’s been on the front lines as well as in management positions championing efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of services.”

    Flett, who recently joined MTG Management Consultants, has been working with community-based organizations, including Lifelong AIDS Alliance and Street Youth Ministries, for more than 20 years.

    The Institute of Public Service offers undergraduate and graduate degrees, including a Master of Public Administration, Master of Nonprofit Leadership, and Bachelor of Public Affairs.
