  • Burgess Speaks on Art-Infused Leadership in Boston

    October 28, 2010

Professor Gloria Burgess, Organization Systems Renewal Master’s Program, is participating in a panel discussion on Art-Infused Leadership at the International Leadership Association’s (ILA) Annual Conference  in Boston.  Burgess is a scholar, educator, and consultant whose expertise focuses on organizational change, intercultural leadership, innovation, and creativity. She joined the College of Arts and Sciences faculty this year.

The panel will focus on how leaders can use the arts for new ways of seeing, responding, and adapting to times of crises and change. The leadership paradigm draws on arts research, theory, and practice to resolve such complex issues such as global climate change, economic instability, extreme poverty, terrorism, and social and financial parity for women. The ILA conference is October 27 – 30.

The OSR Master’s program, a two-year, cohort-based program that promotes organizational leadership, is one of seven advanced degree programs in the College of Arts and Sciences.
