  • Clay Awarded City Arts Grant

    Theatre Department   Professor Carol Wolfe Clay  received a 2011 City Arts Project Grant from the Office of Arts and Cultural Affairs  and the Seattle Arts Commission . The award is for  “Little World," which she describes as a petite piece of puppet theatre inspired by and conceived through and about the process of grief.  "Little World" is a collaboration with Theatre Professor Ki Gottberg , who wrote and will direct the play.

    Clay specializes in scenic design, lighting design, and puppetry and has designed more than 50 productions at Seattle University  since she joined the faculty in 1986. Gottberg teaches acting and playwriting and directs/produces stage productions at Seattle University. She has been on the faculty for 22 years.

    The Department of Fine Arts  in the College of Arts and Sciences  offers undergraduate degrees in theatre, photography, digital art and design, visual art and art history, and music as well as an MFA in Arts Leadership.
