Congratulations to Professors Mako Fitts and Gary Perry (Anthropology, Sociology and Social Work), along with Professor Deirdre Bowen from the Law School - Recipients of the 2009 Poverty & Race Research Action Council (PRRAC) Small Grants Program.
Their project, “Maintaining Social Networks in a Gentrifying Community,” was one of 13 projects selected in this year’s grant cycle, which targeted the Seattle/King County region.
PRRAC is a civil rights policy organization convened by major civil rights and anti-poverty group whose primary mission is to help connect social scientists with advocates working on race and poverty issues, and to promote a research-based advocacy strategy on issues of structural racial inequality.
