    Dr. Rick Malleus, who has taught at Seattle University as a lecturer for the past two years, will be joining the faculty of the Communication Department in the Fall as a tenure-track Assistant Professor. Dr. Malleus was born in Zimbabwe and received his PhD from the University of Minnesota. His research interests include interpersonal and intercultural communication and media representations of culture, race, and gender. Dr. Malleus is the author of several works published by the Open University in Zimbabwe and is currently at work on a number of projects in the area of intercultural communication. Dr. Malleus will teach the department's foundational courses in all three of its majors (Communication Studies, Journalism, and Strategic Communication).
