The Seattle University community and general public are invited to a free event on January 16, 4-6 p.m., in Casey Commons.
Dr. Gabriella Gutiérrez Y Muhs (Professor, Modern Languages and Cultures and Women and Gender Studies, and the 2018-20 Theiline Pigott McCone Chair in Humanities) and Eric Muhs (master teacher and educator and Dr. Muhs’ husband) share the story of their recent trip to Africa.
They provided educational workshops with Pierre Louá and three other Jesuit priests who have spent their entire lives in Africa, working with orphans and educating more than 600 children in rural Guinea, (a French speaking country in West Africa).
They will share movies and pictures from the trip, along with music and song, and talk about their experiences. A reception follows.
