Cruz Receives Fulbright for Research in India

Senior Jennifer Cruz, Psychology major, received a Fulbright grant to work on a cancer-prevention project in India where cancer rates are skyrocketing. Cruz will conduct research with the Institute of Cytology and Preventive Oncology, an autonomous institution within the Ministry of Family and Health Welfare as well as RTI International, an independent, nonprofit institute that provides research, development, and technical services to governments and commercial clients.

Garcia-Cosgrove Receives Fulbright

Amelia (Meme) Garcia-Cosgrove, Theatre major class of 2015, received a coveted Fulbright award to study drama at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Garcia-Cosgrove has performed Shakespeare in prisons, with community theaters, and at the Lee Center on campus. The United Kingdom Fulbright is the most competitive Fulbright program in the world.

Allan Publishes on Wallace Berman

Art History Professor Ken Allan published “'Radio-Mastery of the Ether’: Wallace Berman, Mysticism and Meaning in the 1960s” in "Wallace Berman: American Aleph." The book is in conjunction with an exhibition of Berman's work being held in Los Angeles. Berman is one of the most influential, yet lesser known, American artists of the post-World War II era.
