Criminal Justice Welcomes David Patrick Connor

David Patrick Connor joins the faculty in the Criminal Justice Department, effective September 1, 2015. Connor focuses his research and scholarship on sex offenders and sex crimes, sex offender legislation, institutional corrections and community corrections, offender reentry, and social deviance. His dissertation, "Support Partners of Registered Sex Offenders: Exploring their Experiences, Identities, and Perceptions" is a significant contribution to the field with unprecedented focus on the experience of family members of sex offenders. Connor will teach courses in the undergraduate and master's degree programs including Deviance, Criminology, Law & Social Control, Corrections, and Critical Criminology.?

Connor's recent articles have appeared in Deviant Behavior, Criminal Justice Review, American Journal of Criminal Justice, Journal of Crime and Justice, and Justice Policy Journal among others. He has also written several chapters in Introduction to Corrections (R. Tewksbury ed., New York: Wolters Kluwer 2015).

The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest college in Seattle University. The Criminal Justice Department offers B.A. and B.S. degrees in Criminal Justice, a graduate Certificate in Crime Analysis, and a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice.
