LeBeau Joins Psychology Faculty

Claire LeBeau, a 1997 graduate of the MA in Psychology program, has joined the Psychology faculty as an assistant professor, effective September 1, 2014. She will teach in both the undergraduate and graduate psychology programs.

LeBeau received her PhD in Psychology in 2013 from Duquesne University. Her research focuses on motherhood and the relationship with one’s child, therapeutic communication, and developmental psychology. In addition to teaching at Seattle University part-time during 2013-14, LeBeau has been in private practice in the Seattle area.

The College of Arts and Sciences, the largest college in Seattle University, offers  BA and BS  degrees in psychology. The college’s MA in Psychology is based on the existential-phenomenological-therapeutic approach.
