Institute of Public Service Welcomes Kevin Ward

Kevin Ward joins the faculty in the Institute of Public Service as an assistant professor, effective September 1, 2013. Ward focuses his research and teaching on public and nonprofit management, public policy, and program evaluation. He will be teaching graduate students in the Master of Public Administration program.

Ward received his PhD from the University of Colorado, Denver. His scholarship includes studies on the national service program AmeriCorps, motivations of nonprofit board members, health care networks, cultivating public service motivation, and determining the long-term effects of law enforcement’s post-9/11 focus on counterterrorism and homeland security.

The College of Arts and Sciences, the largest college in Seattle University, offers 42 undergraduate majors, 37 minors, and 7 master's degrees. In addition to undergraduate degrees in public affairs and nonprofit leadership, the Institute of Public Service has two graduate programs: Master of Public Administration and Master of Nonprofit Leadership.
