Hornbeck is one of the founding members of quiet - a multidisciplinary arts community dedicated to art and social change. She currently serves as quiet's Managing Director, helping to create structures and sustainable practices that allow for ALL stories to be heard across artistic disciplines and social barriers. She holds a B.S. degree in English Education; an M.A. in Literary, Technology and Professional Writing; and an M.F.A. in Arts Leadership from Seattle University.
Hornbeck is driven by her passion for people, her passion for responsible art, and her passion for effective communication. As an artist and producer, she has developed over forty artistic projects including original musicals, literary publications, and collaborative art installations.
