Brittany Heintz Walters, PhD
Assistant Professor, Neuromechanics and Motor Control
Building/Room: Casey 540-06
I'm a PhD Kinesiology Candidate originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I specialize in the study of motor control, or how the nervous system controls movement. My research examines age-related changes in the visuomotor system and the association with movement impairments, with the goal of increasing functional independence and quality of life in the older adult population. Outside of academia, I enjoy playing ice hockey, triathlons, and exploring the outdoors. I'm excited to join the Kinesiology Department at Seattle University and feel honored to be part of such a passionate, inspiring, and innovative group.
