John Lane is an IT consulting industry veteran with over 20 years of experience building teams to sell and deliver innovate solutions for enterprise customers. His experience covers all aspects of IT Consulting including IT Strategy, Business Analysis, Program Management, Multi-Site Delivery, Outsourcing and Quality Assurance. After beginning his career as a process analyst for Accenture, John built a career delivering large-scale enterprise solutions across a variety of industries including Financial Services, Automotive Products and Telecommunications. John then joined Avanade, a joint venture between Accenture and Microsoft, to help launch the company in 2000. Since then, John has held roles in program management, account management, delivery management oversight and account group leadership.

My mentoring objective is to help students looking to enter the consulting industry or further build their consulting skills. I have experience across all aspects of consulting. I want to share my experience with students who plan to make their careers in the consulting industry. I will discuss the various aspects of working in consulting to help students determine their interests and prepare them for a successful career in consulting.
