Seattle University is a residential campus, committed to the education of the whole person. We believe the residential experience is an integral part of a student's education. Research shows that students who belong to a campus residential community have a more productive and satisfying college experience than those who live off campus. Therefore all full-time freshmen and sophomores are required to live on campus and purchase a meal plan. The University housing policy requires students to live on campus for six consecutive quarters, not including summer terms, unless the student lives at home or until a student turns 21 years of age prior to opening day of fall quarter.
Housing packets will be mailed in early April to freshmen admitted for fall quarter. Students enrolling in the fall quarter are able to indicate their housing preferences using our online New Student Preferences form, available May 5 (More information can be found at seattleu.edu/nsp). Specific housing assignments are mailed to students in early August. View the Housing and Residence Life website for more information about Seattle University housing options. The $300 housing deposit is due May 1.
