Summer in Seattle orientation for freshmen

In addition to completing your New Student Preferences form on the checklist, please complete the orientation form to select a Summer in Seattle orientation date. All freshmen are expected to attend one of these two-day, overnight orientation sessions scheduled in July. Several sessions are available, so select the one that best fits your schedule. An orientation fee is applied to all first year students' fall bill.

During Summer in Seattle, you will meet faculty members, learn about academic and community expectations, receive your fall quarter schedule, meet members of your class, learn your way around campus and discover how to use the support services available to students.

Each Summer in Seattle session includes a concurrent family program. Family members learn about transition issues facing students, campus resources and support services, and interact with key university leaders. On-campus lodging is not available for participating family members, but information about nearby hotels will be provided. Cost is $65/family member.

For additional orientation information, please contact the New Student and Family Programs Office at (206) 296-2525 or or visit
