Update on EAO Staff

April 30, 2020

Dear Campus Partners,

I share important information regarding the Education Abroad Office. As of May 1, 2020 through August 1, 2020, I will be the only contact for the office. COVID-19 restrictions have impacted all of us very hard, and it has certainly impacted international travel.

I appreciate your partnership and am looking forward to having Kirsti, Jenn and Dario back this summer. Here are a few changes to our normal services:

Pausing all Information Sessions and Group Advising Meetings

For students who are new to working with EAO, the first steps in planning for studies abroad are attending an Information Session and then a Group Advising Meeting with an Education Abroad Advisor. We will resume offering these sessions in Fall Quarter 2020

1:1 Advising for current advisees will be with me

Returned and registered students who expect to study abroad during the 2020-2021 academic year, or have already met with an Education Abroad Advisor to discuss plans for a future term abroad, can contact me with any questions or to schedule a virtual advising appointment

Additional changes in Pre-Departure processes and deadlines for Fall 2020 education abroad participants

The deadline for course approval forms has been moved to August 1.

I look forward to working with you directly and will do my best to fill the shoes of my wonderful team.

Warm regards,

Gina
