Writing Center Quick Tips

UPDATE: Check out the "SU Guide to Editing and Style," a Seattle University student's guide to the navigating the writing process, turning in a polished draft, and using MLA, Chicago, and APA documentation styles. This document is now online for easier and free access!

We believe that with time, attention, and information, everyone can learn to write well. To offer revision and editing information beyond what we can provide during individual sessions, we have designed our Quick Tips. For the topic it covers, each tip sheet includes essential background information, the issue its misuse involves, explanatory information, and practice exercises. Feel free to print them off for use as handy resources. Enjoy!

Also, check out our writing library! The Writing Center houses various books focused on writing and learning to write. For an online description of our books, please see "Reading to Inform and Improve Your Writing" under "news.
