Emma Jornlin
Hi, my name is Emma and I'm excited to be going into my second and a half year as a Writing Center Consultant. After growing up in the rainy 206 and spending a large part of my childhood hiking around the Sound, I decided to major in Environmental Studies at Seattle University to try and get my head around hot button issues like climate change and overpopulation. Nowadays I'm trying to learn Spanish to travel the world and to help negotiate culturally-respectiful solutions to environmental issues. I'm a big fan of communication and have seen my own writing improve when I've had someone to talk out my ideas with. Besides that, it's nice to have someone to vent to when you're stressed! I hope to be that first reader for other Seattle University students this year, and am confident that if I can't help you, you will find at least one other person in the Writing Center who will be able to.
