2006-07 INTERDISCIPLINARY CONFERENCE

Intersections of Race and Gender: 
(Re) Imagining the Family

 

April 12 - 14, 2007 at Seattle University

Imagining adoptive, alternative, biracial, endangered, holy, ideal, intergenerational, othered and transnational families

 

All are welcome to attend!  No registration fee!

This upcoming conference will provide an opportunity for scholars, activists and community members from a wide range of disciplines and backgrounds to engage in discussions concerning race, gender, and their intersections.  Narrower in scope than the 2005 conference, (Re) Imagining the Family will focus on the roles of race, ethnicity, class, gender, and/or sexual orientation in the context of the family.

REGISTRATION: There is no registration fee to participate in (or attend) the conference, but participants are encouraged to register to assist with organization and conference planning. Participants are responsible for their travel and accommodation expenses. Information about hotel accommodation with special university rates will be made available to all participants (listed above).
