This week I decided to choose a different grad school...I got exciting news that I got accepted to Columbia! (Which is an Ivy League, dontcha know) So obviously I had to reevaluate Boston College. Although Boston College is a great school, when it came down to it I just feel better about the decision to go to Columbia. It starts July 31st (better than June 11th) and I got an amazing financial aid package from them! It is an amazing school for social work also and is in one of my favorite cities, New York City of course! So I cannot wait to start my life living 4 blocks from Central Park and hoping my life turns out as great as the TV show Friends. Haha, without being too unrealistic :)
School is great right now, just really busy! We are in midterms currently, but I am feeling more stress with my honors thesis than anything else. I have finished all of my interviews with my subjects and am not working on transcribing them, boy is that not fun! Haha. Research is an interesting experience though and I feel really lucky to get to experience it now before I have to write my master's thesis!
In other news, here are some pictures from my Nonprofit Leadership retreat at the start of the quarter. It was cold and rainy, but that didn't stop us from having fun!
This is us at the bottom of a big wall that we had to help each other climb. That's our safety pose!
