Vehicle/Van Rentals
  • Seattle University Vehicle Rentals

The university has six 12-passenger vans that can be reserved by students, faculty and staff for university business. Other vehicles may be rented through Enterprise Rentals. Drivers must be at least 21 years of age and authorized as a driver through Public Safety and Transportation.

Reservations are made through the VEMS Reservation System. VEMS is a web-based application that allows you to browse the availability of university vans as well as Enterprise Rental vehicles and submit multiple reservation requests.

    Reservation Steps

    1. Get authorized!
      Submit a driver authorization form.
    2. Get on the schedule!
Access VEMS to view and get on the schedule.
    3. Get budgetary approval!
Students need to request budgetary approval of their advisers.
    4. Get your vehicle!
If you receive approval and confirmation, pick up keys on the day of your reservation from USVC 102.

For detailed instructions, see our visual walkthrough for the vehicle rental process. For additional help with VEMS, see the VEMS Van User Guide

Please note: VEMS is only accessible via the Campus Network. Use VPN for off-campus access to the Campus Network.

    Request a VEMS login

Any current faculty/staff can request access to the VEMS Reservation System, but your department may have already authorized a person for reserving vehicles.

Students will receive VEMS access if their driver authorization is approved.
