The university offers a few incentives to employees who are registered bicyclists. These benefits include a secure commuter bike storage, access to shower and locker space, as well as a set of complimentary parking cards, which allow for five (5) days of free campus parking per month (contact our office to sign up).
Contact the Campus Assistance Center to rent a locker, and request campus card access to the shower area via the online Building Access Request Form. Once your card has been activated, you will simply swipe your card to get in. There are additional showers available at the University Fitness Center, also accessible via your campus card. Below you will be able to register your bike, plan a safe bike route to campus, find a map of campus bike racks, and much more!
There are several acceptable routes to campus from various locations in the area. Below are a few routes using the large arterial roadways. Besides the configured routes below, you can instantly plot a route to Seattle University from anywhere in Seattle and neighboring cities using Ride the City - Seattle. An additional resource is the website, which uses an interactive page to help you find the best bike routes in Seattle.
Seattle also has a list of official bike routes.
The best way to secure a bicycle when on campus is to use one of the university bike racks. There are a number of racks spread throughout campus, both covered and uncovered.
The Department of Public Safety and Transportation has information and services available for bikers to increase or refresh your awareness, and help reduce the likelihood of theft or damage. Please consider using the services, and information below.
