Ministerial and Theological Integration (MTI)
STMM 557, STMM 558, STMM 559
The Ministerial and Theological Integration Class is a three quarter sequence course. MTI is both the most exciting and most challenging group of courses in the Master's degree program. Because the content of the class is composed mainly of the student and their internship, it is difficult to describe. In this sequence, the student is called upon to identify and describe the content of their personal and professional growth in conjunction with faculty and a student peer group. MTI is a deeper level of examining God's presence in your life and ministry. The purpose is to engage the relevant information of your tradition, your own life experience, and the insights and biases of your culture and then move into action.

Personal Identity and Pastoral Call (Practicum I) STMM 555
Professional Identity and Pastoral Call (Practicum II) STMM 556
The Pastoral Call or Practicum Sequence is specifically designed for those students who live some distance from the school. Practicum I focuses on personal identity and pastoral call. Practicum II shifts the focus to professional identity and pastoral call. Both courses are structured around an individual contract, with the student creating and being responsible for the development and learning outcome of the course.

Theology of Pastoral Leadership (TPL)
The Pastoral Leadership Course sequence is intended for students working toward a Masters of Divinity degree. The sequence includes both a once-per-week class meeting and a requried internship. This internship should provide the student with the opportunity to work as a leader within the internship setting. The two classes in the sequence are Theology of Pastoral Leadership I (STMA 546) and Theology of Pastoral Leadership II. This sequence is required for MDiv students.

Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)
CPE is interfaith professional education for ministry. It brings theological students and ministers into supervised encounters with persons in crisis. Out of an intense involvement with persons in need, and the feedback from peers and teachers, students develop new awareness of themselves as persons and of the needs of those to whom they minister. From theological reflection in specific human situations, students gain a new understanding of ministry. Within the interdisciplinary team process of helping persons, they develop skills in interpersonal and inter-professional relationships.
