On September 11,
2009 OIT Application Service replaced the production Colleague server.
This server processes all transactions on Colleague and serves as the
university’s core data system. The replacement server will improve
performance of Colleague and data integration processing that occurs during
non-working hours. The Colleague test and development environment inherited
the previous Colleague production server. This gives our development
staff and our partners in administrative offices an improved performance when
developing and testing new features for Colleague.
In addition to the
replacement of the Colleague production server, Application Services also
upgraded the SUOnline web servers with new operating systems and web
software. This will provide increased performance and improved
availability during peak access periods.
