Center on Corporations, Law & Society
The Center on Corporations, Law & Society at Seattle University's School of Law was established in 2003 to foster interdisciplinary scholarship and dialogue about the extent to which corporate institutions in our society operate in a manner that maximizes their positive contributions while simultaneously protecting the interests of consumers, shareholders, employees, the environment and other fundamental public interest values.  In addition to serving as a platform for enhanced scholarly inquiry, the Center provides a forum for sustained discussion among academics, legal practitioners, business leaders, activist, policy makers and community members on the complex and important relationship between business enterprises and their many stakeholders.

Science Splash
Science Splash brings 30 high-achieving 8th grade girls to the Seattle University campus for a four week summer enrichment program in mathematics and science.  During the third week of the Splash program the students learn a protocol and then spend a day of stream monitoring at North Creek under the direction of Snohomish County Surface Water Management personnel. Back at Seattle University they analyze the data to see what it says about the health of the stream and learn what measures need to be taken to protect water quality. The following week is spent at IslandWood on Bainbridge Island where they lean more about environmental sustainability issues.
