  • Office 365 - Check to see if you have an Office 365 Account

     

    Objective:

    Find out if your email account has been moved to Office 365, and connect to it online or through your mobile device.

    Online

    Check to see if your account has been migrated by going to owa.seattleu.edu  and trying to log in. If your account has been migrated, go to www.outlook.com/seattleu.edu  and login using your SU credentials.

      Your Mobile Device

      If your account has been migrated, delete your current SU email account from your mobile device and create a new profile using your SU credentials and outlook.office365.com  as the server name.

        Detail: Step by step:

        ONLINE

        Step 1:  Check to see if your account has been migrated by going to owa.seattleu.edu  and trying to log in.

        If it has NOT  been migrated, you will see your email as usual:

        If it HAS  been migrated, you will see this message if you try to log in:

        Step 2:  If your account has been migrated, go to  www.outlook.com/seattleu.edu . Your login page will look like this:

        Step 3: Use your SU credentials to log in. Your inbox will look like this:

        YOUR MOBILE DEVICE:

        Step 1:  If your account has been migrated, you will be seeing "cannot connect" or "server unavailable" messages. 

        Step 2:  Delete your current Seattle University email account from your mobile device.

        Step 3:  Add a new account for "Microsoft Exchange" or "Exchange". 

                a)  Use your SU email and password.

                b)  Enter outlook.office365.com  as the server name.

                c)  Make sure SSL is enabled.

        Step 4:  Save the settings and you can now access your email on your mobile device.
