  • General Mobile Device Email Settings



    Connect your mobile device to your Seattle University email account

    1. Navigate to mail settings and add a new account.
    2. Select  Exchange,   Microsoft Exchange , or Exchange ActiveSync as your account type
    3. Use your SU username and password. 
    4. Server name = " " (Faculty/Staff) and " " (Students on Office 365)

    Detail: Step by step:


    Step 1:  Navigate to mail settings and add a new account.

    Step 2:  Select " Exchange ", " Microsoft Exchange " or " Exchange ActiveSync " as your account type.

    Step 3:  When prompted for an email address, enter your full SU email (ex.

    Step 4:  When prompted for Password, type your current SU email password.

    Step 5:  If prompted for a description, you may choose a brief name to describe your email account.

    Step 6:   When prompted for server:

    • Most accounts (including Faculty, Staff, and Jesuits) use  as the server name
    • Students and alumni on Office 365 enter as the server name.
    • If you are not sure if your account has migrated or not, visit this article to find out.

    Step 7: If prompted for domain, enter

    Step 8:  If prompted for username, enter your full SU email again (ex. ).

    Step 9:  If prompted for SSL, select " On " (or enabled)

    Step 10:  If prompted for S/MIME, select " Off " (or disabled)
