The Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client
is used to establish a connection between the computer you are using and the
Seattle University network, allowing users to access services like P: and T:
Drives or Remote Desktop from your home computer or laptop when off
Step 1: Open a
web browser and go to www.seattleu.edu/oit/restricted.aspx
and log in with your SU username and password.
Step 2: Scroll to
the bottom of the page and locate VPN Software. Click on Mac OS X VPN
Software and save the file to your computer.
Step 3: Go to the
folder where you saved the downloaded .zip file. Double-click the .zip
Step 4: Click on AnyConnect 3.1.04074.dmg.
Step 5: Double-click AnyConnect.pkg and follow the Client
Installer prompts through the Software License Agreement.
At the Installation Type screen, check only VPN and
Diagnostics and Reporting Tool.
Step 7: Continue with the
remaining prompts until you see a message saying the installation was
Step 8: Click Applications, open the Cisco
folder, and click the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client.
Step 9: Beneath Ready to Connect type vpn.seattleu.edu and
Step 10: Enter your Seattle University
username and password.
Step 11: Agree to the Seattle U Acceptable
use Policy by clicking Accept. You are now connected to the Seattle U
