Install the Cisco AnyConnect VPN on a Windows
The Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client is used to establish a connection
between the computer you are using and the campus network. This is only
required when trying to use services such as P: and T:Drives, or Remote Desktop
when off campus. The Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client should already be installed on
all Seattle University laptops. If you are already familiar with VPN and would
like to install it on a personal computer, please proceed to the next step.
Step 1: Click
here to download the installation file: Microsoft
Windows. When prompted with the File Download -
Security Warning window, select Run .
Step 2: After the download has finished, you will
be prompted by another File Download -
Security Warning window. Select Run
Step 3: On the Welcome to Cisco AnyConnect VPN
Client Setup Wizard window, click Next .
Step 4: On the End-User License Agreement Window,
select I accept the terms in the license agreement and then click
Step 5: On the Ready to Install window, click
Step 6: On the Installing Cisco AnyConnect VPN
Client window, wait for the status bar to indicate that the installation is
Step 7: On the Completing the Cisco AnyConnect VPN
Client Setup Wizard window, click Finish . The shortcut for the
Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client should now be in your Start Menu under All
Programs and the Cisco folder.
Step 8: Open the Cisco AnyConnect VPN
Step 10: In the Connect
to: field, enter vpn.seattleu.edu and click Select.
Step 11: When prompted, enter your Seattle
University username and password.
You are now connected to
the Seattle University Network over VPN and may proceed to access your P: and
T: drives or connect to your office computer over Remote Desktop. Please
note that the VPN works only off campus and will not work on campus.
