About Jon Cardiello
Jonathan Cardiello graduated from Helena High School in Helena, MT. He was captain of the state championship soccer team and voted its Most Inspirational Player. Jon was a member of Link Crew, Model United Nations and a mentor to elementary school students. His artwork was displayed in galleries and his poems and a short story published in the school literary journal. An accomplished pianist, Jon played for a local church’s Sunday services and performed original compositions in talent shows. As a member of the City-wide Teen Council, Jon testified before the school board, bringing a student perspective to the debate over a new health curriculum. He is a member of National Honor Society.
After entering Seattle University as a Science and Engineering Pre-Major, Jonathan Cardiello ended up pursuing double degrees in Digital Design and Mathematics. As an underclassman, Jon worked at Bailey Gatzert Elementary School as a math teacher in the Brain Train program, and worked as a math tutor at Seattle University. One summer Jon returned to Helena, Montana to run an art camp for children. After studying abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark fall quarter of his third year, Cardiello has been more focused on pursuing graphic design. Jon has been involved with various design projects including volunteer work with Sofar Sounds and work for Seattle University Recreation. Jon currently works for the Seattle University Fine Arts Department and interns at Nuemos, a local music venue. As a musician, Cardiello also spends much of his time playing music with his band Wrinkles and his solo project Street Shaark. Jon is looking forward to pursuing art, music, and graphic design after graduation.
