Each admitted student will receive an official Seattle University communication via email notifying you of your assigned Preview Days session. You are highly encouraged to attend the session to which you are assigned.
To apply for a Graduate Assistantship you must submit a supplemental application located on the Division of Student Development website. You should include your resume and a cover letter which will be reviewed by all hiring Graduate Assistantship supervisors. If you have further questions please contact Jane Billbe, Administrative Coordinator for the Office of Student Development.
Preview Days provides an overview of the Student Development Administration academic program and SU's Division of Student Development and the opportunity to apply for a graduate assistantship. Admitted students will also be given the opportunity to connect and interact with current SDA students, and have all of their questions answered. The agenda is subject to change. You are responsible for air travel, additional meals not covered in the Preview Days schedule and any additional spending costs. Accommodations with a current student, airport pick up/drop off and meals during the Preview Days events will be covered for all students.
Each prospective student will receive an online housing and travel form to fill out providing your travel arrangements and housing preferences. You will be assigned a current SDA student who will host you during your time at Preview Days. You will not be required to pay any fees.
Admitted students are highly encouraged to dress business casual for Day 1.
If you will be applying for a graduate assistantship position, you are highly encouraged to dress interview appropriate for Day 2.
If you have applied for a GA position, you will be offered the opportunity to interview with departments the Division of Student Development and University. GA supervisors will review and determine candidates from the cover letter and resumes that have been submitted. We will provide you with your interview schedule on your first day at Preview Days. At that time you will also have an opportunity to read more about the position description, as well as do more research about the office and the Division of Student Development. There may also be the potential to interview for additional GA opportunities during Preview Days.
