For the eighth consecutive year, U.S. News & World Report has recognized Seattle University as one of the top universities in the country. In its 2009 edition of America's Best Colleges, SU ranked sixth for best master-granting schools in the West. U.S. News recognized SU for its excellence in peer assessment, freshmen retention and graduation, class size and admissions selectivity.

Living Legends

Living Legends

Many of Seattle University's top athletes, including Jim Harney of the 1957-1958 basketball team, were honored recently at the Legends of First Hill dinner at Campion Ballroom. The event recognized current members of the SU Athletic Hall of Fame and officially inducted the 1957-58 men's basketball team into the hall.

The next generation of lawyers got familiar with the School of Law at an orientation for incoming students. Students were welcomed by Dean Kellye Testy and met with faculty members and peers. Classes begin Aug. 25.
