The decision to pursue your educational goals at Seattle University is one that will impact the rest of your life. Whatever your concerns, CAPS offers a confidential environment in which to discuss personal issues with a trained professional. Counseling can help you to gain a deeper insight into your own personal make-up and to develop more effective ways to respond to the stressors in your life. Resources at CAPS are
free and available to all currently enrolled undergraduates, graduates and law school students.

Our Mission
CAPS' mission rests upon the Jesuit and humanistic values of self-reflection, life-long learning and the development of the whole person.
Our services enable students to fully participate in and contribute to the academic and community life of Seattle University. CAPS promotes the psychological health of students and the campus community through preventative programming, clinical interventions and professional consultation.
We provide CAPS tailored to the unique needs of the individual student, including assessment, consultation, brief psychotherapy, and referrals. Through this combination of community and individual involvement, CAPS contributes to student success, academic excellence and the creation of a vital, engaged campus life at Seattle University.
